My very first ever cards for sale!

A while ago, someone asked me if I sold my cards.  I told her that I did.  She wants to buy some ... and I made some!  I hope she likes them.  If not, they are up for sale!  (Sister has been bugging me to get this done ... all in time, because I want this to be a relaxing hobby, not one that stresses me out.)

I've discovered that not including a sentiment doesn't limit the uses of the card; it can be for birthday, thank you, just because, congratulations or anything else.  Thanks, sister!

This card is a scraplift from a blog; I don't remember where I saw it, so give me a shout-out if you know.  I used four different Cuttlebug embossing folders, some trim that I purchased from Melissa Frances at the Orlando Expo, and a gelly-embelly (my new cute term!) from Joann Fabric.

This card is just way too cute.  Again, an embossing folder, this one from Darice that's just a border embosser.  The sentiment was stamped in Tuxedo Black using a stamp from ... yikes! I cut off the name of the set!  I cut the cupcake on my E2 from the Cricut Alphabet folder using some purple glitter paper for the "frosting" and a Cuttlebug folder for the cupcake liner.  What makes it so cute, though, is that the cupcake is mounted on an action wobble!  Such fun!

Next up is my beautiful pink organza flower on a white base using another Cuttlebug folder.  Lovin' this technique.  Makes the card so elegant yet fun.

For this pink daisy flower, I first used my homemade glittery spray to decorate the paper as well as the leaf, which I cut on my E2.  I added a flower from Michael's and some fluffy pink feather.  Can't get away from my Cuttlebug embossing folders!

Last but not least is another birthday card.  I cut the flourish from a paint swatch, roughened the edges of the paper (sister needs to teach me how to do this better!), added a white Michael's flower and some more feathers.  The sentiment was typed in Word using Pea Noodle Parlor from Kevin and Amanda.

So many thank you cards!

Here are some more ...  I'm loving this paper pack that I bought a few weeks ago at Michael's.  There's probably six cards so far that I made with the papers in the pack.

This one is my very first attempt at an organza flower with melted petals.  I added some sparkly greenery behind it as well as a flourish made with my Expression 2 ... I used an old cardboard box, cut the shape and then used embossing powder on it.  The sentiment was made in Photoshop to fit the Labels Ten die.

This 6x6 gatefold card is tied with ribbon to match the paper.  The sentiment was created in Photoshop and cut on the Fleur de Lis die.

Here's my second attempt at an organza flower.  I added some glittery red leaves behind it.  The sentiment was made in Photoshop and cut with my Labels Ten die.  I then set it atop a rectangle that was edged and then run through my Big Kick with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. For an added touch of bling, I placed a swirl of pearls just above the sentiment.

Both of the organza flowers have a center made by covering a brad in hot glue and then dipping it into glitter.

And finally ... a change from the same paper pack.  This is going to a gal who loves to post photos of high heels on her FB page.  I cut the shoe using my E2, added white embossing powder to the cutouts and colored the heel with Black Soot Distress Ink.  The top part of the shoe has blue embossing powder.  I added some jewels to the shoe as well as to the inside.  The shoe is mounted on white cardstock upon which I included a thank you sentiment and topped it off with embossing on the bottom using Cuttlebug folder Swiss Dots.  It's mounted on a black card base.  Hope she likes it!

Another thank you

This is going out to a friend who has done so much for so many people in the last few weeks.  I used my new  Nestabilities Fleur de Lis Squares, my Nestabilities Labels Ten, embossing powder, lots of pearls and some white ribbon.  It's sitting on a 5.5x5.5 card base and the backing is deep purple.

Thank you

I needed a card for a man, so it couldn't have any frou-frou. Mojo Monday has a really interesting sketch this week, and I decided to run with it.  This is my first time EVER to post my card on an online gallery like this.

A clean and organized work space is a joy to behold!

I cleaned off the workspace and put down a piece of plastic per my sister's suggestion.  The BigKick is my latest purchase along with the dies.  Woo Hoo!  The basket also contains my Cuttlebug folders and the Sizzix texture plates and paraphernalia.

The other basket has trims in it.  There's a Huggies wipe container with wipes in it. The blue basket contains stamps.  The tin container holds adhesives, and the coffee cup helps to corral my gel pens, tweezers, long metal ruler, scissors, and Cricut scraper.  I will put things away!
