The great tag project ... round 2: autumn

The word for this tag was autumn.  Living in SW Florida doesn’t give us a chance to enjoy the changing of the colors.  We joke that we know it’s autumn because the license plates change colors due to the many snowbirds that visit our area.

I took the photo at a local fabric shop; it’s a bolt of fabric.  Quite creative on my part, right?  LOL!

I cut two leaves from some autumn-themed cardstock using my Cricut. The key is altered using alcohol ink and topped with strands of fibers.

The flower was also cut on my Cricut. I added some sparkle using sparkly paint.

I kept an old dictionary and pulled out the page containing the word autumn. I made sure that it stood out by circling it.

One more shot of the fabric.

Be sure to come back tomorrow to see the next tag!

The great tag project ... round 2: introduction

Some of you might remember the 24 tag project that Sister and I completed in 2016. If you don’t remember, here’s a link to the first blog post for that project.

Well, just as soon as the tags found their way to the recipient, we decided on another tag project. This time, she compiled a list of about 300 words.  We then picked 12 numbers, and the word that went with this number was the theme of one of the tags.  Multiply that by 12 and you get 12 tags.  Just like the previous project, we had to take the photo and then add it to a tag.  The tags needed to be sent to the recipient by the end of 2017.  Now, it’s 2021, and I am just finishing my portion.

One of the two of us <cough> never did anything.

Be sure to come back tomorrow for tag #1!

BTW:  I only did ten of my twelve words.  I will try to get the final two finished before four more years pass. Or, as I told her yesterday ... when she sends me her finished project.

Sympathy card

Sympathy cards are (in my opinion) the most difficult cards to make as well as to write inside.  A friend's brother recently passed away, and this is what I designed.

Funky Fold November 10, 2021

Here are two pictures of cards that I made for Dena Rekow's Card Challenge from Monday, November 8, 2021.  I forgot to take the pictures prior to writing in the card, hence the note covering what I wrote.

This was a really fun card to make, and I'm sure that I will use the pattern again.

CardzTV Anything Goes Challenge #151

A friend will be celebrating her birthday in a few days, and I decided this afternoon to create her card.  She told me that she saves every card I send to her.  What a compliment that is!

I had no idea what I was going to do, so I picked the number six, went to one of my stamp boxes with the stamps in alphabetical order.  Set #6 was Gorgeous Posies, so I went with it.  My card was inspired by one created by Jenny Moors.

I am entering this in CardzTV's Anything Goes Challenge #151
