Work it Wednesday

This mini album is a true work in progress. Almost every part of it is a Tim Holtz product. Enjoy!

Mickey!

This morning, I was searching for ideas for our future Disney World trip. I found this Mickey body parts scrapbook, and I knew I needed to make it.  Fortunately I had just about everything I needed. I did make a trip to Joann's, to get some Disney card stock. Now all I need to do is go there take some pictures and finish the album. What fun!

Tomorrow is Haley's birthday!

Haley is celebrating her birthday tomorrow. We celebrated today at our house with some delicious dinner and a special chocolate cake.  Yes, I know, we already had a birthday celebration for Oliver just a few days ago, but her birthday is just as important.  Not to mention that Becca's birthday is on the 14th, and we will honor her the next day.

So, I was inspired by Tim Holtz's 12 tags project. I really liked the mono printing technique in the 12 Tags of 2016 February tag and decided to give it a whirl.  As Tim said, "whether you’re a card maker, scrapbooker, mixed media artist, or if you just like making tags (like me), you can utilize these techniques to suit your creative style…". Haley's card was just the place to try out this technique. In addition to using some gold embossing powder on the background stenciling with Ranger Texture paste, I also added the EP on the butterfly.  She really liked the card!

Happy Birthday to Oliver!

Yesterday was my grandson's first birthday. I really liked the sketch for Mojo Monday this week, so I created a Design Space file for the card. It was so easy!

I hope the little guy enjoys this (or at least his cake!).

Live your dream with passion

I saw these lovely cards on the Frilly and Funkie blog. Although I didn't have everything she used, that was OK. I really prefer to use someone else's work as inspiration, but to add my own touch to it.

I don't know what I'll do with this card. The learning experience made it valuable, and having it in my stash is sure to come in handy at some point in time.
