I have to get some work done at home, but I did want to publish these pictures.

By the way, I am entering this in Cheery Lynn Designs' challenge titled Back to Nature. Most of the flowers were made using the Sweet Williams die.  The sixth photo down also features one of my new dies, Fanciful Flourish.  If you scroll down to the twelfth photo (which includes the challenge requirement), you will see a page that I embossed using Tim Holtz's Moth die; I then used clear embossing powder to give it some more pizzaz.  Finally, I followed his tutorial for creating charms using his, well, charms!

Happy birthday to Laura

Today was my teaching teammate's birthday. I created this "more than a" card for her.  I used my Cricut Expression 2 along with Cricut Craft Room and the Plantin Schoolbook die to cut the base out of a piece of cardboard from a box. I am so thrilled with the results.

A friend commissioned this project for a Christmas gift.  I hope that the recipient enjoys it!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Day is so near ... we are actually celebrating next weekend with family visiting from out of town.

Here's a quick and easy card that defines the day perfectly, created for a special person.  It's also my entry for three challenges:

• Frilly and Funkie's Thanksgiving challenge
• Mojo Monday's #318 challenge
• Cheery Lynn Design's Autumn Colors challenge.  For that particular challenge, I used the Sweet Williams Strip die and the Pair of Ferns die.  (I hope I win so that I can buy some more dies!  Better yet, I will print my wish list for "someone" to use for Christmas shopping!)

I also used a free graphic for the dictionary page from The Old Design Shop.  That's a place I will definitely visit again!  Thanks, sister, for the link!

OOOHHHH ... I have to update my photo.  The first one did not do the card any justice ... that's what I get for trying to photograph in dim light.  Here's the better version that really shows the true colors; I'll leave the original on the blog for comparison purposes.

We give thanks ...

This morning I decided to participate in Cheery Lynn Designs' Give Thanks challenge.  I used the Sweet Williams strip and the Pair of Ferns dies.  UPDATE ALERT!  I had to take a new photo ... the colors in the previous one was so off.  This is true color!
