Thinking of You

I'm on a roll today!  Here's a thinking of you card that I made just to have in my stash.  I purchased the watercolor floral stamps from Rubbernecker Stamps when I was at Scrapbook Expo a few weeks ago.  Although I have the information on the stamps (Roses #867), I couldn't find it on their website.  The sentiment is from the Stampabilities Card Phrases set from Hobby Lobby, and I embossed it with white opaque embossing powder from Sparkle 'n Sprinkle.

I really like the look of backing the card front with a tiny bit of black showing around the outside and then having a substantial border around it.

Congratulations!

A friend recently retired, and this card is offering her our congratulations.

I am entering this into the Mojo Monday 353 contestCheery Lynn Design's blog challenge #140 In Stitches, and Sparkle 'n Sprinkle's July Challenge.

I am smitten with this butterfly die that I purchased a few weeks ago from Cheery Lynn Designs; it's one of the three in the Small Exotic Butterflies #2 with Angel Wings die set.  It is beautiful by itself, but adding Sparkle 'n Sprinkle's Midnight Madness embossing powder makes it absolutely gorgeous.  I only wish that I could have better captured the embossing powder's iridescent shimmer in the photo; you must try it yourself ... you will become so enamored with it!

Boo!

Did I scare you?  I was playing in my "studio" this morning.  Just letting the creative juices flow. This is what resulted. I'm feelin' purty proud of myself.

Last weekend, I purchased the Sweet Williams die from Cheery Lynn Designs. I used a Tim Holtz stamp for the harlequin design and then used Sparkle and Sprinkle's midnight black embossing powder.  The ribbon was stamped in black archival ink with the word boo and then colored with Concord Purple Distress Ink.  I added Glossy Accents to the flower petals and then sprinkled on black detail glitter.  A black pearl finished off the flower.  Then I added an orange feather next to the black bird trinket.

I just discovered that this card is eligible to enter in the Black and Orange Challenge (#102) at Cheery Lynn Designs.  You can see the challenge here
