It seems like I'm making a lot of these cards lately. This one is for a friend whose father-in-law passed away last week. I used Elegant Edges to cut the portion that the sentiment is printed on.
The paper is from a 6" x 6" paper stack from Prima called Botanical Collection. I purchased it a few months ago at Hobby Lobby. To finish it off, I used Frayed Burlap Distressed Ink to edge all around everything.

So many thank you cards!
Here are some more ... I'm loving this paper pack that I bought a few weeks ago at Michael's. There's probably six cards so far that I made with the papers in the pack.
This one is my very first attempt at an organza flower with melted petals. I added some sparkly greenery behind it as well as a flourish made with my Expression 2 ... I used an old cardboard box, cut the shape and then used embossing powder on it. The sentiment was made in Photoshop to fit the Labels Ten die.
This 6x6 gatefold card is tied with ribbon to match the paper. The sentiment was created in Photoshop and cut on the Fleur de Lis die.
Here's my second attempt at an organza flower. I added some glittery red leaves behind it. The sentiment was made in Photoshop and cut with my Labels Ten die. I then set it atop a rectangle that was edged and then run through my Big Kick with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. For an added touch of bling, I placed a swirl of pearls just above the sentiment.
Both of the organza flowers have a center made by covering a brad in hot glue and then dipping it into glitter.
And finally ... a change from the same paper pack. This is going to a gal who loves to post photos of high heels on her FB page. I cut the shoe using my E2, added white embossing powder to the cutouts and colored the heel with Black Soot Distress Ink. The top part of the shoe has blue embossing powder. I added some jewels to the shoe as well as to the inside. The shoe is mounted on white cardstock upon which I included a thank you sentiment and topped it off with embossing on the bottom using Cuttlebug folder Swiss Dots. It's mounted on a black card base. Hope she likes it!

One Down and Four to Go
A week from today is Administrative Professional Day, and I have some cards to make.
This one is a 6"x6" card. The paper is a blueish-greenish color.

Look what I won!
Waaayyy back in October, I won this from a blog entry at djssundries.blogspot.com. I found out only a week or so ago (my bad for not checking!). Sweet Cheri was so kind as to send it to me. Thanks a bunch!
There are some adorable multi-colored paper clips, tags and some really cute smaller tags in copper tones. I hit the jackpot! WooHoo!

Happy Mother's Day
Trying again to be ready with a stash instead of last-minuting it. In addition, just like Monday's post and card, I am submitting this for Mojo Monday.

It's Mojo Monday!
I've been lurking at Mojo Monday for a while, trying to get up the courage to enter. Actually, I did enter one a few weeks ago.
This week's design is awesome!
This card came together rather quickly. I used my Cricut Expression 2 - Elegant Edges cartridge - to cut the scallop on the left side. The text was done on the computer in Photoshop. The paper is from a delicious Recollections pack called Floral Foliage that I got last week at Michael's. The narrow strip above the scallop is glittery as is the butterfly, which I cut out of some of the paper. I used Tim Holtz's Distressed Ink (Broken China and Forest Moss) to smudge the edges of everything. Finally, I added some bling to look like the butterfly's trail.
Now I have one card in my stash for when it's time to send an anniversary card!
