Valentine's Day is just around the corner. You know that, right? Anyhoo ... I figured it was time to create a card. I've been looking at various challenge sites to up my creative mojo. I'm entering this in the following challenges:
- Aud Sentiments #267 Sending Love + a Sentiment
- The Paper Players #526 A Tic Tac Toe Challenge (mine is the die cut/embossing/blue version)
- TGIF Challenges #301 Designer Stesha Bloodhart Mad for Plaid Takeover
My grandson and I have this way of saying that we love each other. I say I love you. He responds I love you more. I respond I love you more and more. He responds I love you more and more and more.
The Love You More Than die from Connie Stewart's Love You More Than set was a perfect match for our little communication.
After die cutting the sentiment, I used my Seaside Spray Stampin' Blends (dark and light) to color the words with an ombre effect. I used my Triple Banner Punch to cut a notch out of a strip of Whisper White cardstock and adhered the sentiment on it. Next, I used my Wink of Stella to add some shimmer to the sentiment.
I had a strip of Seaside Spray cardstock that I embossed with the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder. I love the way the paper crinkles and really does look old! I added it to a piece of Plaid Tidings cardstock.
Last, I used my Take Your Pick tool to add some enamel dots (retired) to the card to finish it off.
What a fun card with a sweet meaning! Thank you for joining us at TGIF Challenges!
